The New Testament Christian Churches of America (NTCC) is a fellowship devoted to Christ and committed to sharing the truth of the Bible and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Built on the conviction that the Scriptures are the inspired Word of God, NTCC has grown from a small beginning into a fellowship of churches with a worldwide reach. Since 1969, its mission has remained steady: to preach the Word, baptize new believers, disciple followers of Christ, and prepare leaders for enduring ministry.
The fellowship began in October 1969 in St. Louis, Missouri, when a group of believers formed the New Testament Church of God. Their purpose was to proclaim the message of the Bible and to encourage spiritual growth among Christians. As the fellowship expanded, it was reorganized in 1984 under the name New Testament Christian Churches of America, reflecting its broader mission and its growing presence across the country. From its earliest days, NTCC focused on establishing Bible-based congregations and guiding believers in their daily walk with God.
Today, NTCC oversees more than 100 churches across the United States and abroad. Its purpose is to bring the light of Christ to people everywhere, baptizing in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, and nurturing committed disciples. Church planting remains central to this mission, ensuring that both cities and remote communities can hear the message of salvation.
Training leaders has always been a vital part of NTCC’s vision. Through seminary programs, the fellowship offers both biblical teaching and practical pastoral preparation. These programs stress the authority of the Scriptures, the call to Christ-centered living, and the importance of serving others with compassion. Many graduates go on to serve as pastors, missionaries, and leaders within NTCC congregations or mission fields across the world, continuing the fellowship’s commitment to strong leadership.
Over the years, NTCC has celebrated significant milestones, including its 50th anniversary in 2019, which marked five decades of growth and ministry. The fellowship has also served U.S. military members and their families, providing chaplaincy and pastoral support both at home and abroad. Its international missions, including work in the Philippines and Panama, extend the Gospel to communities in need.
Locally, NTCC congregations remain active in outreach. Programs such as food distribution, youth mentoring, and family support reflect the fellowship’s commitment to living out the teachings of Christ in practical ways. Across the nation, its churches provide worship, fellowship, and spiritual guidance, creating communities where faith can grow.
The fellowship is overseen by a board of directors while giving local churches some independence to address their community needs. This structure balances unity with flexibility. Leadership emphasizes accountability, integrity, and adherence to biblical truth, ensuring the mission continues faithfully.
To reach people in the modern age, NTCC also makes use of digital platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, and X. Through these tools, the fellowship shares sermons, devotionals, and messages of encouragement, extending the Gospel beyond traditional church walls and into everyday life.
